Radio sponsorship and partnerships
Beyond spots, stations offer sponsorship of regular features (weather, traffic, culture news), listener competitions and tailor-made projects. These rely on listeners having a relationship with their station and trusting its presenters. The same legal rules apply as for TV sponsorship, though.
What we deliver
- Feature and show selection by listener profile
- Designing and negotiating competitions and special projects with stations
- Checking sponsorship messages against legal rules
- Coordinating materials, competition prizes and station approval
- Evaluating aired segments and mentions
Feature sponsorship relies on regularity
A feature such as the traffic or weather bulletin airs at the same time every day. A sponsor linked to it gets repeated contact in an environment listeners seek out. The effect builds over weeks, not days — so feature sponsorship makes more sense over a longer period.
The sponsorship message must be identified as such and must not directly encourage purchase. That limits what can be said, and the creative has to allow for it from the start.
Competitions and projects need clear rules
A listener competition engages audiences more actively than a spot but needs rules, prizes and coordination with presenters and station production. The station usually designs the format; the advertiser supplies prizes and brand material.
The partnership is agreed in writing: how many segments air, at what times, how often the brand is mentioned and how the competition is promoted. We then check those parameters in the evaluation just like aired spots.
Frequently asked
- How does radio sponsorship differ from a spot?
- A spot is a standalone ad in the commercial break and may include a price and a call to buy. Sponsorship links the brand to a feature or show, must be identified and must not directly encourage purchase. Spots suit promotional offers; sponsorship suits building a relationship with the brand.
- What does radio sponsorship or a partnership cost?
- It depends on the station, the feature, the length of the partnership and the scope of the project; special projects are priced case by case. Send the inquiry form and we will find the concrete options.
