Press events and product launches
A press event only makes sense when there is news and it cannot be told as well in a press release. Journalists are short of time and come if they gain something: information, an interview, a chance to try the product or see a place they could not otherwise visit. So the format is decided first — the venue, catering and invitations come after.
What we deliver
- Choosing the format: conference, briefings, product demo or press trip
- A date checked against other industry events and newsroom deadlines
- Invitations, RSVPs and looking after journalists on the day
- Press kits, photography and ready-to-use material
- Follow-up with those who could not come, and a coverage review
Conference or briefings?
A press conference suits news that many outlets care about at once and that must reach all of them at the same moment. For smaller stories the room ends up half empty and those who came get exactly what everyone else gets.
One-to-one briefings — shorter meetings with individual journalists — give each outlet its own angle and more room for questions. They take more of the spokesperson’s time, but often produce fewer, more substantial pieces. We choose by the story, not by habit.
A launch across paid and earned media
A new product launches best when editorial and advertising build on each other: journalists hear first, often under embargo, and on launch day the coverage and the campaign appear together. The ads then reach people who have already heard of the product, and the coverage carries more weight because the product is visible too.
Because one team plans both the media buy and PR, the embargo is timed with the spots, print ads and special TV formats. OMNIA PRODUCTION handles filming for both the event and the campaign.
Frequently asked
- When does a press conference make sense?
- When the news is big enough for several outlets to come for it and must be announced to all at once — results, a major investment or a change that affects the public. For smaller stories, one-to-one briefings or a well-prepared press release usually work better.
- What does a press event cost?
- The price follows the format, number of guests, venue, equipment and supporting material; venue, catering and travel costs are shown separately in the budget. We prepare a concrete budget based on the inquiry form.
